| “Thriving
on the Edge” (Full-Day). Your leaders and workforce,
at all levels, deal with unprecedented and mounting struggles, uncertainty,
complexity, and change. Although they may survive, most do not thrive.
The stress is palpable. People are increasingly unable to keep up
with the growing demands. In turn, the increased demands take a
significant toll on their performance, health, spirit, and contribution.
Even top performers struggle to get it all done and do it well.
The AQ Vision
Your
people are equipped with the most robust tools in existence to take
on new demands with resilience, vigor and optimism. Their capacity
to take on more — more effectively — is expanded. Their
quality of work and life are measurably improved. Your leaders coach
their people using the Adversity Quotient® (AQ®) principles
and tools to approach each setback, challenge, and opportunity with
exceptional clarity and fortitude. You now handle challenges faster
and more effectively than your competitors, creating a real competitive
advantage. You have created a resilient culture — a workplace
that thrives on the edge.
Program Description
The
highly interactive, engaging, 1-day “Thriving on the Edge™”
session consists of four modules:
Discovery. A practical overview
of the science of AQ and its implications for the challenges, opportunities,
and aspirations not only of your organization as a whole, but also
of each participant.
Measurement. Measuring and interpreting
AQ and CORE Profile
with the complete AQ
Profile; discussion and overview of the CORE dimensions of AQ
via kinesthetic learning.
Improvement. Practicing new skills
for responding optimally to adversity the moment it strikes. These
skills and tools measurably improve and rewire one’s AQ. Participants
fully implement the L-E-A-D process for sustainable resilience.
Integration. Linking AQ philosophy
and skills to personal and professional challenges and aspirations,
as well as current business imperatives.

Making it Stick—Reinforcing the Tools
Since even the best training can die without reinforcement,
the AQ program combines the best of interactive classroom engagement
with the most proven e-learning. For the 90 days following the day
session, participants engage in a virtual ascent, or mountain climb,
called the AQ SkillSites. This tool delivers weekly interactive
challenges online (with friendly reminders) and prompts participants
to recall, reinforce, and apply what they learned in the first day.
The climb culminates at the summit, where participants measure their
AQs for a second time and receive immediate feedback about their
gains, profile, and remaining opportunities for growth. The SkillSites
make AQ more than a seminar — it becomes a way of life.
