Victor Klassen is the president of Skipping Stone Communication Inc. (SSC), an Ottawa-based consulting firm that offers services related to marketing, sales, communications, stakeholder relationship management, and workplace performance to public and private sector clients. In 2002, PEAK and SSC pooled talents to form Conatus Performance, a division that focuses on two key areas: workplace performance and leadership training. Education Affiliate: Dr. Mark Williams

Dr. Williams brings AQ methods and principles to the educational arena. A highly acclaimed educational administrator for both parochial and public K-12 school systems, he consults with school districts in several states and countries. His chief interest is in applying AQ to educational leaders, teachers, and students. His doctoral dissertation, The Relationship between Principal Response to Adversity and Student Achievement, revealed that leader AQ is a predictor of student achievement. Dr. Williams’ ambitious research focuses on equipping leaders, educators, and students at all levels to face both today’s and tomorrow’s adversities.

Scandinavia Affiliate: Dr. Jan Taug

A serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Jan Taug has participated in seven startups and currently serves on several boards. He earned a bachelor’s in Business Administration and a dual MBA in Finance and International Business at Seattle University. Taug has an interdisciplinary doctorate from the Fielding Graduate Institute, where he also earned a MBA in Human and Organizational Development. The title of his dissertation was “Intangibles and Capital Conversion in Complex Organizations.” Taug’s research interests stem from his entrepreneurial activities. He has been involved in the EU projects MERITUM and E*know.net, developing guidelines for valuation and reporting of intellectual capital. He also served as an expert evaluator for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

USA Affiliate: Monica Johnson

Monica Johnson is the President and CEO of Optimal Business Solutions, Inc., a consulting and training firm in San Jose, California. Not only has she been an active researcher in the area of human resilience for over 10 years, but she is also a contributing researcher for the Global Resilience Project. With extensive experience in corporate sales, sales management, and business development, she has worked with many Fortune 500 and high-tech businesses in the Silicon Valley, including Honeywell, Visa, State Farm, Caterpillar, Lockheed, Mercury Interactive, and BEA Systems. Monica is a cum laude graduate of San Jose State University and holds bachelor’s degrees in both Behavioral Science and Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology. Her master’s thesis, Optimism, Adversity and Performance: Comparing Explanatory Style and AQ, revealed that AQ is a robust predictor of performance and sales resilience.
